Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect the sensor to my iPhone?

Open the Oralable app and go to the Devices tab. Make sure your sensor is powered on (blue LED blinking). Tap "Scan for Devices" and select your Oralable sensor from the list. The connection will be established automatically.

Why isn't my sensor connecting?

First, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone (Settings → Bluetooth). Make sure the sensor is charged and powered on. If the sensor still doesn't appear, try restarting both the sensor and your iPhone. Move closer to the sensor as Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters.

How do I export my data?

Go to the History tab and select the session you want to export. Tap the Share button and choose "Export as CSV". You can then save the file, email it, or share it via any app that accepts files.

Where is my data stored?

All your monitoring data is stored locally on your iPhone. We do not automatically upload your data to any external servers. You have full control over your data and can export or delete it at any time.

How do I delete my data?

Go to the History tab, swipe left on any session, and tap Delete. To delete all data, go to Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data.

Is Oralable a medical device?

No. Oralable is a wellness monitoring tool designed for personal tracking and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a healthcare provider for medical advice.

What do the readings mean?

The PPG sensor measures changes in blood volume in the tissue, which correlates with muscle activity. Higher values indicate more activity. Use the data to observe your personal patterns over time.

How long does the sensor battery last?

The sensor battery provides approximately 8-10 hours of continuous monitoring on a full charge. Charging takes about 2 hours via the included USB cable.

Demo Mode

What is Demo Mode?

Demo Mode simulates a connected Oralable device with realistic muscle activity data. It allows you to explore the full app without hardware.

How do I enable Demo Mode?

Go to Settings and toggle "Demo Mode" on. Return to the Dashboard to see simulated sensor data.

What can I do in Demo Mode?

Everything except connect to a real device. You can view real-time waveforms, record sessions, review history, and share data as CSV.

Are Demo Mode recordings saved?

Yes. Recordings made in Demo Mode are saved like normal sessions and appear in your History.

How do I disable Demo Mode?

Go to Settings and toggle "Demo Mode" off. The app will return to waiting for a real device connection.
